We love to share Kidville Creativity with you so much that we are launching a series of Kidville DIY Posts that will keep you and your little ones happily entertained for hours on end. Inspired by Camp Kidville’s Color Crush Week we decided to share one of our favorite keep-sake projects, Kidville DIY Canvas Name Art!
2) Washable Tempura Paints
3) Kid-Friendly Paint Brush
5) Masking Tape
Cut the masking tape into strips and place the strips on the canvas spelling your child’s name. This is a great time to practice the ABC’s!
Pass the paint brush to your little one and let the painting begin. Experiment with mixing colors and different patterns and shapes. (Tip – Paint the entire canvas including over the taped letters.)
Add some sparkle by sprinkling glitter on the canvas. Then take a break and let the paint dry. Perfect time for a snack, right?
Here comes the extra fun part – Slowly peel off the letters from the canvas. Grown-ups you can start to peel the letters and then let the children finish the job.
Find the perfect place to hang your DIY Crafts creation!
We hope you have an amazing time creating this project as a family. Please send us pictures of your completed projects. We would love to see your little artists!
PS – Happy Pinning!
