My daughter is obsessed with a certain movie that rhymes with “Chosen”.
(I can’t say the name out loud or she might hear me and want to watch it…again).
She has an Anna doll, an Elsa doll, an ice castle, a towel with a picture of all of the characters on it and two Olaf mini figurines. She saw the movie three times in the theatre and about three hundred times since it was released on iTunes a few weeks ago. She walks around the house acting out scenes from the movie and pretending to build ice castles.
Don’t get me wrong. I love the movie too. It’s a wonderful story about the love between two sisters and the importance of being true to yourself. The graphics are stunning and the songs are beautiful.
My daughter is beyond obsessed with the Frozen soundtrack. She loves every song and sings them out loud whenever she can. She wants to listen to Frozen all of the time. In the car, playing in the playroom, taking a bath, during dinner…all of the time!
Thankfully, we recently received a pair of JBuddies Kids Headphones made by JLab. These are headphones made especially for kids and they come in a variety of fun colors. My daughter was thrilled that hers were pink and that they come with eight stickers to personalize the headphones. After she had decorated her headphones to her satisfaction she put them on. They fit her four-year-old-sized head perfectly and the rubber exterior made them sit comfortably on her ears. She left them on for the length of the entire Frozen soundtrack.
I like that they have a volume regulator so that parents can limit the volume of their kids’ music. I also like that they come with a little bag for storage. They are definitely worth the $19 and will last for years of travel. Even my 18-month-old liked playing with them – and they are made of a strong plastic that endured her twisting and pulling. Overall, our family is a huge fan of these headphones, and we look forward to using them for travel in the near future.
In the meantime, we’ll continue to use them as a sanity saving measure so we aren’t forced to listen to Frozen more than once (or twice!) a day.
